I’m not so sure, but yesterday I felt something while dealing to the paw shape…
I felt I got it eventually

Slowly I started understanding more of how to shade the 3D contour of the paw ~ it’s far from what it should have be, that’s obvious, but I think the blockage is easy off, and the window is being opened a bit for fresh breeze to come (lol

).
The rest of the lion is just hit or miss it, but the paw I felt different…
Bear in mind I’m using limited palette of about 7 colours to mix.
I’m learning to mix them on the go as well…
So when I’m shading, shaping the object I’m picking/adjusting the colour on the go ~ therefore is even more complicated to do so…
I’m dealing with too many things at once, what’s making it even harder to nail what I want …
I’m improving my stroke technique on the go, trying to nail the colour value and hue on the go, and keep following the reference …
I’ve bought the thermal printer yesterday to easy off stencil making
I was making stencils free hand, just as you’d copy any image with transfer paper to get those outlines …
It’s good practice to study the object, but time consuming.
Now imagine to do it again if you may want smaller size of what you’ve just done?
The printer will be very handy in this matter!
Also it’ll help me get a geometrical shaped stencils with easy.
I can not imagine making straight outlines with free hand stencil…
Thank you for encouragement dear friends
