More Inky stuff

I decided to experiment a bit with watercolour over my ink drawings.
This is an ink work of a beached craft at low tide in Portsoy harbour. I was really entanced when I was there at the blocks of stone making up the harbour walls, the cascading ladders to reach the low tide mark, the changing colours on the walls reflecting the various heights of the water... just a great subject to draw.
Done with the Staedtler Pigment 308 liners on Waterford St.Cuthbert Mill 300gsm hot press drawing paper (a lovely paper with a smooth creamy texture, great for ink).

When the ink was completely dried, I then used Windsor Newton Pan watercolour - the little travel set one - and created washes and worked over the drawing adding colour. Then when dried again, touched up with further black ink here and there.

As a first attempt it is okay. But I think I'd like to get a bit looser with my linework, so will try something else and see what happens.
