a redo of one of my first efforts

this is going to be a redo of one of my first efforts about 3 years ago. I'm not going to look at the first one until I am done. I sure hope it is better. Stay home, stay safe, keep putting pencil to paper.

So detailed...
Great looking all around to my unprofessional eye 👍👍👍
To be honest every time and then if I see cows on any artwork, I'm trying to skip it... The same way I do regarding pigs, chickens, sheep ...
Don't know what's wrong with me?!
Anyway I love yours...
I can't explain it, but your drawing it's not simply cows, but great dynamics, hurry, some story tale and the noise that I can hear very well!
Wow...

That is a great work! I remember the first one I believe. This version seems to have more atmosphere and is less 'fussy' (working on memory - 3 years is a long time for me). You have captured a lot of tension in the herd of cattle. As Pog says you can almost hear the bellows of protest from those steers. The raised dust is great too.
Would you consider showing the two works side by side? It would be interesting to see your progression. But if you are not comfortable with that don't worry.
A really good piece.

Oh yeah! Great improvement in my opinion! Great depth, atmosphere, contrast and lighting, and tells an interesting story. It’s such a complex subject and I admire the way you handled it so that the eye is well guided throughout. Sorry I can’t help with the orientation.
