A Visit With Mike

Post by LindasPencils »

Hi Pencil Pushers!
I have been having a wonderful couple of weeks here in Yorkshire with Mike and Jenny. Been places, done things and enjoyed my stay enormously. While I have been here, Mike has been madly working hard on creating his next video for you. I don't know if you realise how involved these little shorts are, but to give you a hint he has been editing, video-ing, collating and putting it all together for weeks, starting with script in August and drawing in September! All this on top of running a farm full of donkeys, horses, ducks, dogs, chickens and garden!
So I thought you might like to see a few photos of the studio and editing suite so you can appreciate the process.

Another view of Mike at work recording, check out all that high-tech equipment!

Once the video and sound has been recorded, Mike brings it all together in the video editing suite

And there you have it! Mike sure works hard putting these together. (You should hear him talking to himself while he edits and puts it all together. Quite amusing! :D )

Hi Linda. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I always knew, or imagined, that a lot of work went into Mike’s videos, but I didn’t realize just how much work was involved. I’ve always been grateful for the generosity of an artist like Mike who is willing to share his knowledge. This is how many of us learned because we never had a formal art education.
