Something I’m working on. I’m stuck again so I’m ruminating over my next step.

Are you using the layer function and saving copies as you go? The beauty of these programs (like photoshop and afinity photo) is that you can fiddle about and test out multiple ideas saving indivuduals, copy, pasting and tweaking. Try diffrent ideas and don't be afraid you will mess it up because you always have a back up copy (or you should, really, you should. Trust me on this, you need to back up!!)
Sometimes I really miss drawing in a digital format, just for the ease of 'command X' to go back or go forward to a saved version. Can do that with pencil!
