Smoked

Post by LindasPencils »

Another one 'in the can'. I am having a bit of fun with this concept. These are only smallish drawings, fit an A4 page. Graphite on 300gsm Fabriano Artistico. I had a lot of Fabriano offcut/odd sizes I need to use up!

Weird things attract me... While I'm probably expected to study the fish and smoke... I'm drawn to the tin. In particular, the script. Script that has almost perfectly matching capital S letters. Perfect height lower-case letters. Perfectly formed letters O and matching M. And, as if that's not enough, the entire lettering is subtly rounded and embossed.

So, by the time I've reached the fish, I know I'm in for a real treat...

And I'm not disappointed!

I love the concept of the fish gleefully riding the smoke.

What a wonderful series! Only you could actually give a fish a facial expression, LOL. I love it!
