This is just a couple of things I did as a demonstration works at my recent Camp Creative workshop in Bellingen, NSW.
One is Chili the pig - who came and visited the classroom, stayed for an hour or so and we all drew him from life. Then later we worked up more finished pieces from our sketches and photos taken of him.
The second is I believe a Nyala (female) antelope. I took the photo years ago at Werribee zoo so have forgotten which antelope it actually was. Demo on hair techniques in colour pencil and graphite.
Karat Aquarelle colour pencils and graphite pencils on 300gsm Lana Hotpress paper.
enjoy!

These are so charming Linda! I admire your ability to draw from life. I find it very challenging, even when it’s just a quick sketch. Your workshops must be lots of fun. Wish I lived a little closer!

Re: Workshop demo
Your little pig is utterly delightful!
I've always wanted to keep a pig on our smallholding... but the only thing you can do with a pig is eat it.
But I did rescue a tiny pg in our lane a few years ago and return it to mother in the field opposite our house. Your little pig reminded me of how lovely and warm it felt. And how docile. It was a lovely experience.

Thank you both.
lol, Mike, I understand. I had 'city' farmer friends, who when they moved bush had pigs. The first year they got too fond of them, named them, petted them and finally gave them away rather than deal with the end. The next year they tried again, hardend their hearts, but still named them... things like 'Roasty', 'Sweet and Sour', 'BaconBits', and 'Xmas'. lol. I guess it work as they had pork all the next year.

I'm afraid I wouldn't repeat that at a front of my wife, cause she could have slap me in the face immediately
Just some friendly humour Linda
