I’m with Mike. Your end result is really quite beautiful. I don’t think anyone would know that you were experimenting here unless you told them.
I was wondering too if you couldn’t finish it using dry pastels only, but as you said Artur, you learned what you needed to learn from this one and it was time to move on. I still think the idea of under painting in wet pastel and finishing with dry is a great idea. You should try again when you feel you want to.

You are right Laurene, it can be done in order you've mention - wet base layer, then dry finish over it.
