...oh and that kid on the pony? It is based on an old photo of me around 6/7 after a really bad 'bowl' haircut my dad gave me.

Late... but better late than never! I've been wanting to congratulate you on this stunning drawing for ages. It's absolutely wonderful in all respects. But...

But, what really grabs my attention is a very old memory that surfaced. That might be you on a pony but I immediately remembered my sister's MUFFIN THE MULE articulated, metal, black and white (so, more pony than mule) string puppet. Very surprisingly, I just found the exact same puppet on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Muffin_the_Mule.
