FIRST CREATIVE SERIES VIDEO OUT NOW!

Post by Mike Sibley »

Hi Everyone,

As members, you get to know (and watch!) new videos first, so...

The first of the Creative Series of videos is now available, and this site has had the builders in making a few alterations.

As of now, VIDEOS, in the navigation above, has a dropdown so you can easily move between the BASIC TECHNIQUES, CREATIVE TECHNIQUES, and DRAWING TIPS & TRICKS series. Clicking or tapping on VIDEOS directly takes you to a page where you can access the three series - which you'll need to do if you're using a phone.

DRAWING DARK VALUES:
with DRAWING MEDIUM VALUES and DRAWING LIGHT VALUES to come in turn.

Dark values and blacks are important.
Know when to use the soft, dark grades - which grade, which point, and how much weight, to produce rich dark values.

Understand why some pressures cause a soft-grade to deposit graphite on the top of the paper's tooth; a heavier use will fill the tooth to produce darker tones; and how using a combination of grades will produce wonderfully deep, rich, solid dark values.

If you regularly work a drawing up from light to dark... this is the video you need. No more soft, over-worked drawing - just fresh, sharp, drawn-once results.

And a LOT MORE too!

WATCH NOW...
(17¼ minutes)
