Well, I could be wrong!

I held off posting while I mulled it over, but eventually that's the conclusion I came to. That's not to take anything away from it as a lovely composition, but something just wasn't sitting right with me.

Nope, you certainly weren’t wrong! There was something there bothering me too. That’s why I adjusted the shadows.

I couldn’t quite figure out how to adjust the values because of all of the layers involved in creating each chipmunk. Then it came to me. I duplicated the groups containing the chipmunk layers, and flattened this new duplicate group. Then, I was able to simply use Curves to adjust the contrast. I think it’s just what was needed! I hope the difference shows up on the forum. I have to lower the resolution before I post.

I have to concentrate on finishing up some work to the back of the house before winter sets in. The leaves are changing here as a reminder of what’s to come! I love autumn though, and I try to soak up every minute of it that I can.

In the meantime I’m mulling over my next project. With your permission, I was thinking of creating a list of how I approach graphite drawing in Procreate versus drawing on paper. For example, how to simulate using a chisel point, or how to lift using Blu Tack etc. The goal is to simplify the method, because a lot of what I see online makes everything overly complicated in my opinion.

Yes, the fall is coming in big steps
I’ve noticed there was no much of rain in UK this year, as I was struggling to collect the rain water a lot, but recently we’re experiencing rain more often, and I’m very happy with that, because it’s watering my garden - so I can just enjoy it
