Thank you Mike and Linda! Both of you have given me valuable information which I truly appreciate and it gives me a direction to go in. Light and shade as well as fabric are areas where I feel I need to work hardest, but Brunnhilde's eyeballs need the suggested help. I love that you ares both pushing me into the right direction!

When you drew that eye, I think you drew what you expected to see rather than drawing what it actually looked like. That alone changed the character of the puss. It's a very easy and common error to make - in fact, I'm beginning to put a book together on the subject. It's a natural tendency that every artist has to fight against.
