This morning I created a GALLERY feature where you can display your completed artwork. It's not ideal, because this is a forum and not a gallery setup, but...
Alternatives are:
I could use the forum's Gallery extension. I used it at Starving-Artists.net, and it's a good setup. But the creator no longer works on it, the coder who took it over hasn't updated it in over two years, and it was the lack of updates that finally forced me to close down SA last March.
Or... it's been suggested that I create a closed Facebook group purely for displaying work.
I'd welcome all ideas, comments, and thoughts.
In the meantime, feel free to use the new GALLERIES. Suggestion: open a NEW TOPIC for each piece. That way all replies will be attached to that work and cut out confusion.
THANKS.....

I have not tried posting artwork in the past so I don't have immediate feedback. However, your request is well noted and as I work through your new site I will circle back with my experiences.

Re: Forum GALLERY... ideas please!
Thanks, Debra. I think the galleries might suffice as they are, because they're not a part of the working/exchange/tuition part of the Support Forum - that is, they're for display only. But let's see how it goes. I can change things later if needed.
Quick point: I'm allowing the handy use of Quick Reply in all the forums. But you'll need to click the "Full Editor & Preview" button to be able to upload and insert images.

Re: Forum GALLERY... ideas please!
I like the idea of a gallery Mike and I just used it. I wonder though if people will use the WIP section to post both their WIP's and finished drawings once things get going. That may happen if for example they've finished a drawing but would like advice on how to do something differently the next time. I imagine there may be an overlap.

Re: Forum GALLERY... ideas please!
Agreed. I'm fairly certain there will be some overlap. However, comments and critiques can be asked for and posted within the GALLERIES. But I wanted to give you somewhere to exhibit work, where EXHIBIT was the predominant reason for posting.
And it will help to keep displays of work out of the "Drawing Discussions & WIPs" forums.
We'll see how it goes. And Elaine came up with the idea of an INDEX as a sticky in each gallery. Great idea!
You might have noticed there are two versions we're playing around with at present? One with links and one without. Elaine hopes to have it all sorted by the end of this week - and it would help if folk posted more work into both galleries, so she has more to work with... just saying
