Re: Wallaby WIP
Thanks so much for that, Mike. I really didn't want to put that tree in, as I couldn't see how it would work, so I'm very pleased to have your opinion!

Wallaby WIP
This is actually more a question of composition. This young wallaby is peeking out from behind a tree and my original plan was to draw the tree in front of him. However, having progressed with the wallaby, I am now in a dilemma as to what to do about the tree. If I put it in, I'm afraid it may detra...

Re: sneaky post
It may not be strictly drawing, but you definitely would have to know how to draw to create it! Really clever and well deserving of your 2nd place at VAS. Well done, Linda!

Coyote Revisited
Hi Mike and Linda I have attempted to put into practice your suggestions for making the coyote more rounded, but not sure if I have interpreted what you suggested properly and whether I have achieved it (think my powers of observation are sometimes lacking!!) Would very much appreciate your comments...

Re: Coyote WIP
Thanks for the comments and suggestions everyone. I've been away for two months with very intermittent and unreliable internet access, so have only just now seen these. I will definitely try to put these suggestions into practice after Christmas and New Year, when I will hopefully have more time. Be...

Coyote WIP
This cheeky coyote in Yellowstone National Park was so engrossed in finding out what was in the long grass, that my husband was able to take a fairly close up photo of her. I am in the process of drawing her using Stabilo Carbothello pastel pencils on Artspectrum Colourfix paper and would appreciate...

Re: Portrait WIP
Thanks Mike
These are all useful observations. Not sure if it is too late to rectify on this drawing without making a mess, but certainly useful observations to look out if I repeat this drawing at some stage.
Regards
Jean
P.S. Do hope your roof is safe and sound now.

Portrait WIP
Hi everyone
I would really appreciate some advice on this portrait, as I am struggling to get the features right. I’m not sure where I’m going wrong and don’t want to fiddle too much and end up only making it worse! I’ve attached the photo from which I’m working as a reference.
Thanks
Jean

Re: Serengeti Siesta WIP
Thanks Linda for your helpful comments and I will add some more pastel highlights as you suggest. I agree he did look so peaceful and cuddly, just like a big family cat, but certainly wouldn't recommend trying to cuddle him! Thanks also, Pogart for your kind comments and yes, my husband took the pho...
