Re: I’m new to the group
May I be a little blunt, Bela? I've been looking at these drawings for the past few days and... I feel the rabbit as a step backward. I say that because your Boxer possesses life and character, where the rabbit has the appearance of an illustration. It tells me nothing about rabbits, or that rabbit....

Re: “DOBERMAN” - oil study.
I’m up to gardening … and a wall sculpture …and making the side of the kitchen steps to become a living plant wall ~ sort of a big display that will cover up the whole side… Good luck with all of that! :) I'm in a similar situation... trying to make our place look presentable for the April workshop...

Re: I’m new to the group
I love your work. Your realistic drawing is mindblowing. However, I want to move towards the expressive style. The reason for joining DWM is that you say "know what you draw". In expressive style, details are hidden and leave a lot to the viewer to find out. But I think the distinction be...

Re: Ancient Souls
A vanishing point is not always useful in landscape and nature. Whereas when drawing buildings it is a must. As Mike said it is better to draw the size you see as we don't know the true size of the left bull. I wasn't going to go into that... because I can't get my head around it. I think wh...

Re: Ancient Souls
I think this is perfectly, and unmistakably, telling your story. The size difference - given their closeness - can only be size and not recession. I don't even have to know the females are smaller, because your smaller Muskox has a lovely soft feminine expression - where the male looks friendly but ...

Re: Muster
I don't know how I missed this, but I'm thrilled to have discovered it. Where to start.... there's so much to admire. The first thing that grabbed my attention - other than the metalwork - was Tansy's rippling, glossy body. It's superbly studied and drawn. So full of tension and movement. Then the b...

I will be happy to gift you, and all of my friends on the forum, with an original drawing. I have purchased a hundred Strathmore 400 series paper greeting cards that are 5X7" in size. Send me your address and if you have any suggestions as to what you might like, and I'll send you a card. That...

First, to load an image use the "Full editor and Preview" button, not the "Quick reply" box. The easiest way to upload any image is to drag it into the text box where you're typing. That will append the image to the bottom of your post. If you want the image to appear somewhere I...
