Wild thing

Wow. getting back is challenging. I flunked the audio robot test. Guess I don't speak Celtic! My wife came into my studio yesterday and said, "I don't know what animal that is,,," I could only stutter, "It's a wild thing!" In classic parlance the head should be up and the body in...

Re: "Silent Witness"

The transition from seeing to creating in a drawing is best when the artist fills in with his imagination what works. In the virtual world every thing is what is imagined and therefore becomes real.

Just a thought.

Re: Sheltering Arms

This is a wonderfully creative work. The first impression is of the raptor in the upper left corner. Wings spread as if to shelter the woman. Then as I scroll down, I see the suggestion of four hands holding the small bird. The scrolling only revealed the meaning of the title when I got to the botto...

Re: Ancient Souls

When I saw your muskox all I could do was grin! Seeing them is great fun. Snow can look like sand. However, snow is smoother than sand. For me the issue is really one of dimension. Where are the shadows in the snow? Are their hoofprints that can add to the image of snow? Sand flows snow stays in sha...

Re: Merry Christmas

Arthur thanks for your thoughts. The human animal is a puzzle and a treasure. In the here and now whatever is just is. All of us want our art to improve over time and be appreciated by those who see it. But the strength of our art is in doing it. Mike, Thanks for your words of encouragement. I love ...

Re: Merry Christmas

More to the story... Johnny, the buffalo Soldier who blocked me called a couple of days ago. It seems that over Christmas he was hunting with his sons. He harvested an elk and when they were taking it out of their pickup, he fell and broke is back. He said it was only a hairline fracture, but it put...

There is more to the story... A couple of days ago Johnny, the buffalo soldier who blocked my communication called. It seems that over Christmas he was hunting with his boys. They harvested an elk. When they were unloading the elk from their pickup Johnny fell and broke his back. He said that it was...

Re: Merry Christmas

Thank you all for your thoughts! Here in Colorado we have been waking up to below zero temperatures. Laurene you have a sharp eye a sharper mind. Linda as amazing as it sounds the buffalo soldier unfriended me. He blocked all my communication with him and failed to return phone calls. I'll never kno...

Merry Christmas

Its been so long since I posted some of you may have thought I ceased to exist? Life has been a little quirky. I was honored to host the president of the American Buffalo Soldier's Association here in Meeker. While he was here, we engaged in a little experiment. About 20 people from the different cu...
