The WITCHER Cat 🙉🙊🙈

I’ve been asked by workmate for tattoo…
At first I got upset a little bit, because first thing she’s mentioned was the tattoo made already by someone else…
She always been promising to come and let me do it if you know I mean, next thing she’s showing off her new tattoo …
Nevermind, eventually she’s asked me for tattoo few weeks later
It was very simplistic design of the Witcher cat?, sitting on the broom…
I’ve done my research then, looking for something better looking.
I let her choose from few options then, so she did
This is how I’ve created this tattoo. I hate diluting ink with water…
This is first time I did

I was encouraged by the shop owner, and the client was after as well, soooo…
Diluting ink with water is to make lighter shades of black ink obviously.
You can buy 4 bottles set of already diluted black wash ink, mixed at proper ratio…
Some artists mixing it by themselves, it depends of preference really…
I did it lazy way though

Usually it is 5 cups…
Pure black ink cup followed by gradually mixed 4 other cups mixed in different ratios ink + water.
My setup was black ink cup + water ink cup

I have simplified the procedure, some call it dirty dipping
This is how I’ve shaded the cat’s fur making the lighter tones… I really don’t like black wash method, so I did it easy way.
I can see many artworks made by my studio artist friends, and the tattoos are lacking the contrast and depth, because all I can see is shades of grey…
I really don’t respect this technique at all, but I must admit, I saw great looking arts (tattoos) made this way - in good hands it’s a sward not the wooden stick if you know I mean
I’m not ready to explore it just yet, I think…
The time may come
I’ve suggested this tattoo in colour as well, I did like it a lot TBH, but she wanted it in black only.
