Miniature inks from Yorkshire

I did a few small (10 x 10cm) ink drawings on Dodgy paper https://dodgypaper.com/ and entered two into the Australian Society of Miniature Art 2025 annual exhibition. To my delight both have been accepted for show. https://asmansw.com/
Acceptance was a bit doubtful for one, as I was kind of cheeky with my submission. All works must be 10 x 10 (or ratio thereof), no larger. However, with one, I just felt the need to draw out into the mount board. So although the work 'fit' with requirements, it also, sort of, didn't. Happily they accpeted it, with a small reminder not to push things too far next time. :D
Both of these drawings are reflections of my times with Mike in Yorkshire, driving the moors, walking the lane.

The somewhat cheeky extension of barbed wire into the mount board. Legit? or not?

enjoy!
(btw, I must admit, this particular style of ink drawing I have been developing is strongly influenced by an artists' work I much admire, especially his drawings. Coll Hamilton is a Scots artist I found last year and really enjoy his ink works. I really enjoy his loose line and expressive style of drawing - I could never hope to duplicate it, but it has encouraged me to 'loosen up' a bit with my ink works: https://www.collhamilton.com/coll-hamilton---homepage

I love these Linda! I have a special place in my heart for ink work.

I was mesmerized by those old Arthur Rackham children’s book illustrations when I was young ( and still am!) . I also adored the old scientific illustrations in ink.

Thank you Laurene. I am a Rackham fan as well!
Will be doing 'boats' in ink in my classes over the next two weeks. Looking forward to seeing what my students (and me) come up with.
