iPhone won't play videos?

If you're using an iPhone or iPad and you can't view the videos, or only a small part of one, then our member Lenore has the fix. She consulted her local Apple Store, and they advised her, "To view your videos on the iPhone, simply click to view them in desktop mode as opposed to mobile mode." Lenore says everything is working perfectly now!
And to back that up, our member GraphiteManiac just tried that and... "That was the magic bullet. Huh, I never knew. Now the videos are playing perfectly. It’s just weird with all the technology in these things that it wouldn’t know to do what needed to be done automatically."
MARCH 2026 - UPDATE
The videos at DWM are in MP4 containers holding h.264 HD videos - and virtually anything can run that. They are fed to you by Amazon AWS who fast-track your selection to your nearest hub for local download.
If YOUTUBE VIDEOS WORK, try these solutions:
1:
YouTube is probably playing through its own app. DWM videos will be playing in your browser, and that's probably Safari. So, try this:
Clear the Safari Cache:
Go to Settings > Safari > Clear History and Website Data.
Confirm the action.
This can help with video playback issues within Safari.
2:
YouTube will feed you with the resolution they think appropriate - and that can be quite low. DWM can only feed you 1080p HD resolution.
Disable Low Data Mode because it can restrict background activity and limit certain features to conserve cellular data. That might interfere with video playback, especially if streaming or downloading videos.
To turn off Low Data Mode:
Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
Scroll down and tap on Cellular or Mobile Data.
Select Cellular Data Options.
Find the LOW DATA MODE toggle.
Switch the toggle to the OFF position.
Now restart your video app or refresh the video's webpage.
This allows your iPhone to utilize full network capabilities, removing restrictions that might be blocking or throttling video playback.
NB: Turning off Low Data Mode may result in increased data consumption. If you're on a limited data plan, monitor your usage to avoid unexpected charges.

0.00 - 0.00 usually means "The link is good, but I'm unable to play it". And that most often signals a problem at your end."When I click on the link the video does not play - it just shows 0:00 in terms of playing time."
